Doug Curry
Doug Curry’s Llama Training is absolutely one of the best professional developments I have attended. I believe this training should be offered at the beginning of every year as it provides the essential strategies needed for classroom management. The foundation of Llama Training is hope and kindness rather than punishment – something that we all need to remember! My entire staff attended the training and they were able to implement what they had learned immediately. It has had a positive impact on their classroom environment but more importantly, the lives of their kids.

We are thrilled to share our incredible experience with Doug Curry’s “Fast Llama” training at Nacogdoches ISD. If your school district is looking for more than just theory and traditional, cumbersome classroom discipline systems, “Fast Llama” is the answer. This program introduces easy-to-apply practices that engage teachers right from the start. We began by launching the training with our leadership team, and it was a tremendous success. Initially we saw the value it could bring to our new teachers, but as our leadership team became immersed in the training, it became clear that the benefits extended far beyond. Word quickly spread, and soon teachers who weren’t initially slated to attend were asking, “Can I attend the Fast Llama training?” This level of excitement and engagement is a testament to the effectiveness of our intentional strategy of full immersion with our leadership. “Fast Llama” quickly became a highly entertaining, engaging, and practical resource that our teachers loved. They are now eagerly asking, “When is Fast Llama coming back. We wholeheartedly recommend Doug Curry’s training to any school district.

I have always been known for excellent classroom management. However, Llama training showed me I still had more to learn. I have always viewed my classroom management as a tool to help ME to be able to instruct! Mr. Curry pointed out that our students crave structure and discipline and said, “It’s the highest form of love you can give them.” Wow! I do love my students, but I have never viewed my structure and/or discipline as the highest love I can give them. That one statement opened my eyes to the fact that I didn’t need to provide structure and discipline for ME but for my students. This touched me and on those days and on those days when I don’t feel like having structure, it motivates me to get past myself and do it for the kids. I feel like I am even more intentional about it now than I have ever been. This was truly one of the most relevant trainings I have ever been to! Gayle Bursiaga–Teacher, Lubbock, TX
